OLD
BUSINESS
Clinic will use the FYSA fields, if there are any questions please direct them
to the Brights. The cost of bringing the clinic to Fairbanks is costing less than
originally estimated. All extra money that is collected will be credited back
to individual players IPAs. Laura Bender gave a report on uniforms, all are here
and the 91 team embroidery will be done this week. She also asked how many uniforms
to keep in inventory. The consensus was 2 or 3 per team.
Linda Colang reported on the raffle. With six teams participating Eclipse club
will have excess money over what the prizes will cost. The group consensus was
that the extra money stay with the Eclipse Club to help defer other costs. Winners
will be announced August 4th, which is the Tide Tournament. Teams should contact
Linda Colang if they want to sell at stores, so that there won't be an overlap.
There was a short discussion about where excess money needs to go. Consensus was
that at the end of this summer at the board meeting everyone will come to an agreement
about long term goals for the clubs money.
Car Washes --- equipment is still missing. If you know where the car wash equipment
is, please contact a board member.
Picnic --- June 2nd is the Clean Up Day at the FYSA fields beginning at 9 a.m.
The group consensus was that the Eclipse Club should participate in this clean-up
day. Teams that work in the morning will be given scrimage time in the afternoon.
Please check e-mail to see what you should bring to the picnic (it is alphabetical
-- drinks, cups, etc.)
Ina K --- 5 Eclipse teams will be going, check with team managers to make sure
reservations are made.
The Eclipse treasurer and president told us that MBA (which is currently where
the team checking accounts are) will be changing to Wells Fargo sometime this
fall. Denali Bank has offered to purchase checks free for the club. The motion
was made by Sara Alden to move the Eclipse club accounts to Denali Bank and was
seconded by Danny Gibson. The motion passed.
Equipment -- coaches wanted to purchase cones from equipment money. They agreed
to 8 big cones and 12 little disc type cones per team. Coaches also wanted to
purchase one keeper jersey per team (up to $60 per team). The motion was made
by Sara Alden, seconded by Bruce Merritt. Motion passed.
Discussion about teams being reimbursed for indoor balls used this year by individual
teams. The group consensus was that balls purchased in the future could be brought
before the board but the teams would NOT be reimbused for money already spent.
Motion to approve for the Club to pay $300 to cover the '84 team
tournament fees was made by Bruce Merrit seconded by Gary Bender. Motion passed.

offered this summer by Dave Milne.
A play-by-play game of the week will be broadcast by KIAK from the soccer fields.
KTVN will give air time to Eclipse Club members to tell WHY they are raising money
(all those purple girls out there....)
