  7. Old Business

FAC Lock-in: The FAC lock-in was a success. There were 102 girls participating this year. The organizational team should be commended for a great job!

Carwashes: Sallie asked for a volunteer to contact the teams to remind them when their carwash will be. Cindy Vredenburg volunteered. The club car-wash supplies have not been located, Cindy will send out a message asking if anyone has the club carwash supplies.

Camps: Karla Bright noted that there are 3 coaches that will be available to come to Fairbanks June 17-21. Teams participating are the 88,89 and 90’s. The cost of the clinic will cover 1/2 of the airfare costs (with the Anchorage club picking up the other portion). Each coach will charge $100 per day.

Raffle: The raffle committee has ordered the tickets. Grand prize will be $2500 cash, with 5 $500 prizes. The raffle will be from May 1 to August 1st, the drawing will be August 4th. Tickets are $10 each, and each player is required to sell 10 tickets to cover the costs. Any tickets sold over the initial 10 will be revenue to the player, and placed in the IPA. All money needs to be accounted for through the raffle, the coordinator from each team will have the specifics.

MST: Valarie was not at the meeting. Mia Weber will be helping with the vendor assignments, there will be a minimal charge to have a booth or table.

CRAD: The CRAD will have the proposal ready for submission at the next meeting. All parties should be reviewing and commenting on the proposal.

91 Team: 13 girls were placed on the 91 team.

VII New Business

Ina K: The Ina K information is out and available at the FYSA Office. 5 teams plan to participate in the Ina K. (83,86,88,89,90). Gina has the forms and is aware of the registration deadline of May 18th. Sallie has blocked out a group of rooms at the Parkwood. They will be released 2 weeks prior to travelling if they are not individually reserved by the teams. Rooms are on a first come first serve basis. Sallie will reserve a room for Greg and Danny.

ASYSA Update: A volunteer form is required to be completed by all volunteers (parents, coaches, managers, etc.). Discussion at the last meeting included violence against referees, and how to reduce the negative actions. Anchorage soccer federations has a team player recruitment policy in effect and it appears that FYSA is looking at instituting a similar policy. This is the last year that U12 will be allowed to participate in State Cup. Determining who qualifies to participate in State Cup is also an issue that will be discussed further.

Club Clinic/picnic: The May Clinic/Picnic will be in June this year. It is scheduled for June 2nd. The clinic will be from 1-4, with the picnic starting at 4PM. Sallie will coordinate the food assignments.

91 equipment: The 91 team needs to purchase some equipment such as balls and cones. 56 pennies will be ordered. (not sure by who)

Next Board Meeting - The next Eclipse Board meeting will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2001, at 6:30 PM at the Salvation Army Building off 10th Avenue.

The meeting adjourned at 7:55 PM.
