Old Business:
Fund Raising. There was discussion regarding exploration of possible fundraisers. Carwashes, candy sales, selling raffle tickets, etc. $5 vs. $10 raffle tickets. A motion was made to focus on getting someone to be in charge coordinating the raffle. The concern is that funds are limited and the Club will have to do some fundraising.
TRYOUTS. No needs identified. Possible the 90's may need to hold tryouts.
FAC LOCKIN
Amber will be sending an update. Please have 3v3 team information in by 2-21-03 to Amber. She will forward information to Sara Alden, who will schedule teams. No late entries will be accepted. 92's are requested to bring a large chest. Contact Amber if you have issues getting ice. 91's are requested to aide in researching cost of subs. Notify Hope for a check to pay for the subs. 88's and 89's to help with the sign in at the FAC. Amber will be sending out a rotation schedule for the chaperones. Please have one team check (made out to Eclipse Soccer Club) for those players that pre-registered to Hope or designated money collector the night of the FAC. Waivers are needed for all players and guests. Each team is responsible to have a list of those that are pre-registered. Door prizes will be given out. Each team will need three chaperones, coaches are excluded as chaperones. If teams do not have the three required chaperones, they will be unable to participate.
GYMTIME
Patty Olson has obtained gym time through the school system. Decision made for the Club to purchase the time and have open gym time for those teams that are interested. This is available 1-4pm, Saturdays following the end of Indoor Session 2. We can give back any gym time within 3 working days notice and not be charged. Gym time will be available starting April 12th. There will be $15 contract fee and $18/hr. Please have bill sent to the Eclipse PO Box.
NEW BUISNESS:
UNIFORMS
Laura Bender reported on uniforms. 89's and 90's are interested in purchasing other uniforms than what the club has now. Decision made to stick with the present uniform through this playing season (fall 2003), and then address the issue of a uniform change for the entire club. Suggestions could be made by any team at that time. Laura Bender will send out uniform order. Uniform expenses have increased by 10% due to shipping fees. Orders will need to be turned in by March 15th. A brief discussion regarding sleeveless jerseys also took place. FIFA has reversed their decision of last year and will now ALLOW sleeveless jerseys. We still need to check with FYSA to see what there stand is on sleeveless.
Request from Salvation Army Richard Greene (Salvation Army) request a letter from Eclipse regarding need for an indoor gymnasium for indoor soccer. Richard is in the process of writing for a grant. Please encourage other clubs to write.

TVCSO General status report on the Tanana Valley Competitive Soccer Organization (TVCSO) provided by Kathy Port and Greg Gibson. It was explained that this organization is being formed for the purpose of facilitating open, collaborative dialogue between competitive soccer clubs in Fairbanks. By working together, clubs can more effectively promote the growth of competitive soccer in the Tanana Valley area. The purpose is NOT to separate from the Fairbanks Youth Soccer Association, but the organization should provide a more effective voice for the clubs when addressing local issues. Representatives from six clubs have attended three organizational meetings. Rules of Order and a list of priority issues/concerns have been formulated and clubs are currently being requested to formally join the organization. A concern was expressed that parents need to be informed of the purpose and nature of this organization. Larry Bright agreed to send a brief status report of the organization with the list of issues/concerns to all Eclipse parents.
GEORGIA CLINIC A soccer clinic for the Eclipse Club, similar in structure to last years', is being planned for June 15-19th, just prior to the Midnight Sun Tournament. The clinic will likely start Sunday afternoon (15th), continue on Monday through Wednesday with morning and afternoon sessions, and conclude with a morning session on Thursday the 19th. Contact Larry or Karla Bright (479-0060) for further information or questions.
